About DFH Real Estate - Victoria
|
|

DFH is southern Vancouver Island’s largest independent real estate company. Since 1960, DFH has helped more families find homes in Victoria than any other firm. One of the many reasons for this long-standing success is DFH’s adoption of the “Golden Rule” policy in dealing with its clients. The ongoing conduct of the REALTORS® and real estate agents at DFH has cemented this widespread reputation for fair dealings at all levels. The company’s original location was on Quadra St. near Reynolds Rd. In 1960 we moved to Douglas St. near the corner of Cloverdale. 10 years later a second location was opened on Shakespeare St. and then, in 1976, the two offices merged in a larger location at McKenzie Ave. and Shelbourne St. The head office was built by the company at its present location on Shelbourne St. in 1985. In addition, we have offices in Sidney, the Westshore, and the Shawnigan Lake village. Another outlet for the company’s successful track record is found at the Hillside Mall, where its attractive kiosk initiates hundreds of successful client relationships each year. All of these locations are staffed with knowledgeable and personable representatives of the company, including myself.
Brian Sharp was our Managing Director and Principal Agent until January 2008. He first joined the firm in 1974 and through the 70's and 80's served as a Directory of the Victoria Real Estate Board. Much of Brian’s free time has been directed to the Queen Alexander Children’s Society. In a twelve year period Brian has held many positions including Chairman of the Board. Brian has also served on the Board of the Queen Alexander Foundation. In January 2008 Brian looked toward retirement and took on three Partners in the business. Mike Nugent is now our Managing Broker and Peter Gaby and Kevin Sing are joint partners. DFH continues to grow and continues to honour our roots in serving the Victoria community.
Our PhilosophyOur company has a wider vision than that of simply a fair-dealing real estate agency. We see community involvement as the foundation of maintaining a solid, healthy business in the Greater Victoria area. It is not enough to make general statements of caring and concern for the communities in which we operate. Direct action by management and salespeople are the true measuring stick of commitment. Our force of over 100 salespeople are united under a banner of common purpose: To Offer "Golden Rule" Service.
While individually driven to maximize the number of sales they make, our company obliges its sales force to ensure fair dealings between its agents and its clients. Our company has forged its reputation by attracting and keeping these like-minded salespeople.
